Time for the final major of the year. Welcome to the 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon.
Don’t panic and get on with those PICKS.
With less than 24 hours to go before the first tee time of the major, the course is in fine shape, the rough is wet and wispy, it’s getting colder as the week unfolds and the gossip is growing by the bucket load.
We know the players are prepped and like us, eager to get things cracking on Royal Troon in the hunt for the Claret Jug and title of The Champion Golfer of the Year .
The first tee time is a classic with a mix of 2 former winners at Troon and both at The Open. Todd and Leonard will get us underway in a special remembrance of their wins in the past. The major will get underway at 6:35am local time.

Prep time was hopefully put to good use, but now is the time to commit, visualise and execute. Make those PICKS.
Top bucket: The stats in majors since 2020 point to any one of Scottie or Rory though one stands head and shoulders above. very tough to win 2 majors in a year, but perhaps less so for someone who has dominated so extensively already! Hard to bet against that man.
2nd bucket: Tough to pick just 1 of these as its so very even matched. Major creds like Tommy or the ball-striking Conners to claim the win?
3rd Bucket: Two picks here, don’t waste them. Plenty of top players to choose from, perhaps the resurgence of Scotty or the fire of Lowry who badly needs some guidance.
Bottom Bucket: plenty of options, plenty of chaos. Power of MinWoo or the pedigree of BK?
