Time for the 3rd major of the year. Welcome to the 2024 US Open at Pinehurst.
Don’t panic and get on with those PICKS.
With less than 24 hours to go before the first tee time of the major, the course is in fine shape, the rough is dry and crusty, it’s getting hot and the gossip is growing by the bucket load.
We know the players are prepped and like us, eager to get things cracking on Pinehurst in the hunt for the US Open.
The first tee time is a shocker. Don’t get your hopes up for 3 players most avid fans have never even heard of! But there is a ton of talent after that including the Big 3 pairing of Scottie, X & Rory! The major will get underway at 6:45am local time.
YOUR PICKS
Prep time was hopefully put to good use, but now is the time to commit, visualise and execute. Make those PICKS.
Top bucket: The stats in majors since 2020 point to any one of Scottie or Rory though one stands head and shoulders above. Its very tough to win 2 majors in a year, but perhaps less so for someone who has dominated so extensively already! Hard to bet against that man.
2nd bucket: Tough to pick just 1 of these as its so very even matched. Major creds like JT or sneaky CBez who no one has noticed?
3rd Bucket: Two picks here, don’t waste them. Plenty of top players to choose from, some might be a little rusty though it does include 3 major winners from 2023!
Bottom Bucket: plenty of options, plenty of chaos. Hadwin had a good run last week, Meronk won on LIV, plus a few other top 10 finishers from last month's PGA Champs, like Big Shane & JRose who are also former major winners.
With all this in mind, it's time to focus on your PICKS.
