Friday at The PGA Champs
Friday started off with sombre news as a death on the road headed into Valhalla, meant a delayed started with so many early starters caught in the traffic, including Scottie who ended up in a holding cell!
When things got cracking, the course was wet and its only defence were mud balls. Players peppered the flags throughout.
With the delayed start, not all players were able to finish, but most of the big names are having a sleep in on Saturday.
X backed up his sensational opening with a more solid 68 for a 1 shot lead headed into the weekend. His putter and scrambling held firm, while those around him chased.
Collin is back amongst the leaders after regaining his swagger last month at Augusta. He looked solid with his 7 birdies and he will fancy chasing X in the final pairing.
Round of the Day
Best of the day was a 65 card by a few players including Collin & The Bulk who are both on the front page of the leaderboard.
Shot of the Day
There was a flurry on chip-ins, hole-outs and near aces, but only 1 ace from Adam Svensson.
Performance of the Day
Scottie spending an hour in the orange overalls in the cells, followed by a quick release and an opening birdie was sensational. Not many would have been able to perform under that stress, but he did.
He rallied, posted a 66 and sits just 3 back.
The Leaders
The Chasers
The Movers
It's Moving Day up ahead and the conditions are expected to remain gettable so expect a big charge from multiple angles.
The Phenom, The Hov & Rory could be candidates for another low round on Saturday based on what they can do and their need to chase down the lead.
Taking the weekend off
The Cutline appears to be falling at 1 under, with some players to still come finish their rounds and some big names sitting outside that like The Big Cat, Aberg, Rahmbo, Fitzy, Scottie, Windie & Lefty with Windie and Aberg the biggest disappointments.
Reminder of the Stats
Bucket 1: Scottie 39%, Rory 32%, X 8% & Aberg 7% (3 are under par)

MZeezy sits 1 shot back, with a host of challengers close behind within 3 shots which is nothing out there.
Moving day will not be a normal scoring day, a grind lies ahead. Its still anyone’s major, much angst remains for the leaders so strap in. The chase is on.
