Final Day Sunday at The Open
Check out the full majorpunter score's at The Open.

Sunday was a masterclass in precision and quality, just like the previous rounds. No one is able to keep up with Scottie when he is in this mood. He loved this performance too, hardly let himself breathe before Haotong cracked jokes on the 17th.
Open25 D4P5
The real battle was on for 2nd place, with a queue of pretenders trying to stake their claim. Haotong had already said that was his only goal, but it was going to be a tough fight, 2nd place that is.
Open25 D4P9
Windie struck early, others from the later tee times, then joined the queue. Scottish champ Gotterup charged and tripped, but Mr English finished strong, birdies on Calamity Corner and the 17th, plus the eagle on 12 to boot.
Open25 D4P10
Scottie was brilliant. His putting matched his traditional iron-play which left the field toothless against his skills and mental strength. Patience when needed, ruthless in his moments too. The Champion Golfer of the Year, Scottie Scheffler who walks away with 2 majors in 2025.
Open25 D4P6
Round of the Day
BDC closed with a bogey free 64 to round off a great closing 54 holes, which tied Windie as lowest 54 holes to close, which was only 1 shot off this strange record, held by Stenner from Troon in 2016.
Open25 D4P7
Shot of the Day
Scottie was ready for a battle even though he had 4 shot cushion. After pulling his first drive, the whole field and course took a breath. Was there a chance that he could stumble? What followed was another pin-high dart which trundled off a back stop to a foot for birdie.
End. Of. Championship.
Open25 D4P8
Performance of the Day
Haotong getting into The Open was a big deal. He’s career had plummeted. Here he was in the cauldron of immense pressure and he stood firm, making a late birdie on 17 in order to get a T4 and book his Masters ticket and continue his redemption trip!
Open25 D4P3
Scottie is now on a journey to the Grand Slam. The US Open in 2026 awaits at Shinnecock Hills for the Grand Slam claim.
Open25 D4P4
The Leaders
Open25 D4LB1
The top 10s managed to lock their tickets into next year’s Open Championship which for Haotong, Corey & Gotterup is potentially gold, whilst the others already have exemptions via various categories or would be more likely to get so later in the year.
Open25 D4P2
The Open closes out the 2025 major season, which was been sensational. A Grand Slam, the world number staking a claim for a Grand Slam and of course discussions about family and celebrations.
