Moving Day at The 2026 Masters
With the weather spiking in temperature, the course getting firmer and firmer, the pins still seemed to be inviting with plenty of low numbers.
Anything not under par went backwards, with 19 scores in the 60s, it was a record-breaking Saturday compared to most recent memory.
Cam stood up, making birdies right out the gate and eventually having his 1st dropped shot on 15. He did have 8 birdies, posting 65. He will need to keep his momentum to push home for a 1st major win.
Cam is tied with 36 hole record breaker Rory who goes into Sunday with a real chance of defending, something many never thought could happen in the build up. Rory got it to 13 under early on the 2nd nine, before collapsing and looking quite grumpy, with shirt untucked heading up the 14th.
There are some brilliant potentials heading into Final Day Sunday:
Rory: 4th man ever to defend a green jacket
Cam: 1st major win
Mr Burns: 1st major win
Shane: 2nd major
Round of the Day
Moving Day it certainly was, with a leaderboard that moved north south east and west.
Chasing a number, Cam went out fast, held the pedal down despite finding the water on 15, and eventually posted a 65 for a clubhouse lead that held firm and takes him into the final pairing on Sunday.
Shot of the Day
No one can beat an ACE and to have it at Augusta’s 6th with that tricky back left pin. That carried him into the back 9, eventually posting a 68, and now with a chance to win.
Performance of the Day
Scottie broke his downward trend - with a scintillating 65 that could have been so much better. He had a hole-out eagle on 9, but struggled on the par 5s coming home, but finally broke into the 60s in Masters week.
Share a thought for Cantplay who continued his surge. 67 on Friday, 66 on Moving Day after he opened with a 77!

BUA made a quick charge off Cam and never let go, surging into the lead heading into Sunday.
Little General continues to fare well, despite losing the lead on Moving Day. 2 shots is nothing and like Rory, will need a refresh, re-think and hopefully a birdie barrage on Sunday.
2 chasers sit 5 back with Stiffies & TopCaddie within striking distance.
Lots to play for, 18 holes is plenty of time to make that move.
